John Richards Landscape Architects have been commissioned
by Kilmartine Property Group Ltd to prepare streetscape and
landscape proposals for their new off ice development in Edinburgh
City Centre.

The offices, designed by Allan Murray Architects, focus on a
series of roof gardens, which are viewed from the offices and are
also significant features of views from Calton Hill. The focus of
each roof garden is Amelianchier trees which have an attractive
branching structure and a profusion of white blossom in the spring.
They are planted in profiled shrub beds of juniper, heather, pine,
hebe and vinca etc. which will create interest throughout the year.
Each roof garden also has lawns, paving and seating areas which
take advantage of the views of Calton Hill.

The project is currently being constructed and the landscaping
will be completed in Autumn 2009.
